Graduate Ed Connect was born from a simple belief: life experience is the most powerful academic asset there is. Dr. Pesach Walter proved it by earning his Ed.D. at age 82.

Graduate education journey

Dr. Pesach Walter

At eighty, Pesach Walter enrolled in a doctoral program. At eighty-two, he earned his Doctorate in Education with a concentration in Educational Leadership from UMass Global.

A retired nurse with an MSN from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and an MBA, Pesach spent decades in healthcare, raised two daughters as a single father, and joined the Screen Actors Guild in a second-act detour that reinforced one truth: it is never too late to begin something new.

Why he built Graduate Ed Connect

When Pesach started his doctoral program, he found a system built for full-time twenty-somethings, not for adults entering grad school in their seventies and eighties. He learned Zotero, AI-assisted research, citation managers, and the choreography of online committees by stubborn trial and error.

He believes no one should have to do that alone. Graduate Ed Connect is a personal coaching practice, not a packaged curriculum. Every engagement begins with a conversation and a roadmap that fits your life.
